Introduction
This course has been designed to cater for both beginners and seasoned practitioners. Those of you more experienced in cutaneous surgery will be grouped with similarly experienced practitioners and provided with the appropriate tutorage. Having said that, the simple ellipse forms the backbone of office based procedures and it is essential this is done well and we ensure all attending can do this to a high standard. The more experienced practitioners normally progress through this step quickly. We then quickly identify who needs what support. For those more experienced you can learn whatever cutaneous surgical procedure you want to. And for those new to cutaneous surgery you will have plenty of time to decipher the simple suture, how to slide a knot, do a punch or a shave excision and so on.
There is plenty of time for all to practise and get multiple differing tutors perspectives and advice.
This course is taught by leading surgeons and GP Skin Cancer Specialists. Our tutors are without doubt approachable and enthusiastic and will ensure you are comfortable asking those 'silly questions' we all have from time to time.
All participants will receive a free surgical kit with sutures to take home to practise and hone your skills on.
This course is day one of the two day Certificate of Advanced Skin Cancer Medicine & Surgery.
